More money really would create more problems for m More money really would create more problems for most of y’all reading these posts. More money is only going to bring more decisions, more disagreements, and more stress. Don’t get me wrong: I’m a FIRM believer in making more money—in each person striving to have MORE than enough money to do whatever they want with whomever they choose for the whole of their life. Unfortunately… Financial literacy and money competence doesn’t come with the raise, nor does confident decision-making or the soft skill of being able to speak to your money-traumatized (or dramatized) partner about pooled resources and future dollar allocation without one of you shutting down or shouting out. Those skills—cultivating your money views and mindset, making self-serving financial choices, and growing closer to your partner with each joint decision—must be learned. That’s where I come in. You and I & whomever else you invite (willing parties only) commit to show up and address your real, raw money trauma and drama head-on for less than an hour once every other week for 6 months. I know what you're thinking: Is money coaching the right financial move for you? It is absolutely right for you. 100%. No question in my mind. Zero doubt. Money coaching IS right for you, right now. However… What may or may not be “right” is doing money with me. Making sure you & I are a good fit is of utmost importance to me. Before I was a money coach, I was a money lecturer Before I was a money coach, I was a money lecturer. I taught personal finance, family economics, and principles of lean business in more than one university for years. I crafted semesters long programs to move my students from the assumption of zero knowledge in the subject areas of financial management, money mindset, side hustle creation, & small business building with the singular goal of having them proficient in the knowledge and action plans they would need to be financially successful and/or profitable. Simultaneously, I was a human lifespan & developed expert and lecturer. I ALSO researched & taught in the areas of young, middle, & old adult development. Specifically I study & taught about how the brain reacts to & handles life events directly tied to having sufficient financial funding that includes, but are not limited to: buying a home, parental leave, having and raising children, obtaining & continuing education, career building & pivoting, divorce, remarriages, retirement, re-entry to the workforce, & death- both that of the individual or a loved one. Larger concepts I know a thing or two about include pay gaps /how to close them (gender & racial), negotiations, generational financial differences & disagreement, generational financial cycles (poverty; wealth), financial cycle breaking, partner financial issues, discrimination in financial resources for marginalized and minority groups, etc. Now, in addition to being a money coach, I am a money student. Actively pursuing higher education and research in the field of personal finance and small business economics. Over the years, I continue to have students who took my classes YEARS ago find me on social, message me and tell me that my courses change their lives for the better. One student actually kept my syllabus, PowerPoints, and textbook and went through the material with their fiancé when they moved in together. 💚 My qualifications are not the reason why you haven't started working with me yet, babe. When I tell you money coaching works... Money coac When I tell you money coaching works... Money coaching WERKSSS. Six months ago, one of my couple clients could BARELY SPEAK TO EACH OTHER about money without getting frustrated, stressed, overwhelmed, and/or crying. Literally, one partner was just making up how the money was used as they went, attempting to have some sort of management system happen, carrying with hope and massive amounts of anxiety… The other partner was so overwhelmed by money IN GENERAL that they just avoided looking at the finances completely, leaving this precious human surprised and shocked by what was happening with their money. Even though they desperately wanted to be a money partner to their spouse, they couldn't. On top of the lack of communication and chaotic management… the.couple owed $32,000 in credit card debt. But. BUT! Six months into money coaching with me, and this newly minted power-money couple shows up to their accountability session and has THE AUDACITY to tell me … … they are credit card debt free! Not only that, not only that! But also… They have finished their homework to find the fund to increase their 401K contributions over the next year. They already started reallocating saving for their next vacation. They're looking at paying off old doctor bills that have been plaguing them for nearly two years. They created a plan for how they're going to strategically use credit in the future without re-acquiring debt. They blew me and themselves away with how much their financial circumstances have changed in so little time. My favorite part: each one expressed how it's not just their money situation that has.for the better, but their marriage- THEIR PARTNERSHIP. With the biggest smile, one said, “We are finally acting like a team now. We're on each other's side. We have joint goals, and make joint plans to reach them. It's really, really wild.” The other told me, “I wish we would have done this sooner, the second we found out about you.” Money. Coaching. Works. It will change your life. I have zero doubt. You are doing more RIGHT than you think you are. You are doing more RIGHT than you think you are. For every money regret or purchase you punish yourself for, there are at least SEVEN financial decisions you've knocked outta the park. Take the time today... ⭐ To congratulate yourself on your sound financial decisions (did you get gas so you could go to work? GREAT CHOICE!) ⭐ To appreciate all the right money choices you've made so far (are some or all of your bills paid? WELL DONE!) ⭐ To create evidence for yourself that you can and will trust yourself to make really good financial decisions in the future (are you thinking ahead to holiday spending? LOOK AT YOU PLANNING!) It may seem silly, but it's not. If you are going to keep track of your poor choices and financial regrets, then it's important you count and track your wins and well-dones too. Life is 50/50, and it serves you to remember all that's gone RIGHT, all is going Right, and all that could go Right in the future.
